Past Lives Offer Insights for Today’s Problems

Lauren has always had a very close relationship with her son, Jeff. As with most young men, Jeff met a special girl, and before Lauren knew it, wedding plans were being made. Jeff’s fiancée, Sonya, is an assertive woman who seems to have no problem speaking her mind, and is not one to compromise easily. Lauren saw Sonya as a demanding and controlling individual, and the relationship between them was difficult from the beginning. Lauren didn’t trust or accept her future daughter-in-law, thus putting a strain on her relationship with her son.

As the wedding grew closer, Lauren became emotionally distraught. She knew that she needed to understand her feelings toward Sonya. It was during a past-life regression that she learned that she and Sonya had a past—one that went beyond this life.

It was 1706, in Ireland. Lauren’s mother died during childbirth, so she was raised by her father. Understandably, they became very close and depended upon each other over the years. When her father decided to remarry, it was very hard on Lauren. In her opinion, she didn’t need or want a stepmother, and she definitely didn’t want to share her father.

From the beginning, Lauren’s new stepmother was jealous of the close relationship she had with her father. She treated Lauren harshly, she was demanding and unreasonable, and she never took Lauren’s feelings into consideration.

In a few short years, Lauren decided to move out and build a life for herself. She kept in touch with her father, but would have nothing to do with her stepmother. She blamed her stepmother for her demanding ways, and for having to share her father’s love. Lauren lived out the rest of her life relatively happy, but with very unresolved issues involving her stepmother.

During this past-life regression, Lauren discovered that Sonya was her stepmother in this past life! This knowledge gave her a new perspective on her current situation. With the realization of who Sonya was in her past, Lauren now realized where her feelings stemmed from, and was able to resolve her past-life issues. Lauren also discovered that Jeff was her father in this Ireland life, so she understood the close tie she’d always had with her son and why she considered Sonya’s presence a threat to her happiness.

In the world of hypnosis and past-life regression, we respect the fact that there are reasons beyond our current life as to why we feel the way we do about particular people, places, and situations.

When you search within yourself, you’ll find a new perspective that will help you feel good about who you are. There is no place for judging yourself or others. Judge the act and if you have room in your heart to forgive, then do so. If you can’t forgive, then give it to God. Some hurts are too deep to pardon, and you shouldn’t feel guilty about not wanting to forgive. Life is hard sometimes, and you may need help.

By our own choice, from the Other Side of this life, we’ve chosen the challenging situations we’re faced with. All of our experiences, whether good or bad, are just that—experiences.
