Loss of a Child
... Charlene, a recent client, came to us to gain understanding on the loss of her son. It had been two years since the tragic accident happened
that took the life of her 7 year-old son, Joey and the beloved family dog, Chance.
During hypnosis we directed Charlene to the Other Side where she was met and embraced by her spirit guide, Geoffrey. Charlene immediately
recognized that she knew Geoffrey before coming into his life and felt the mutual love and compassion between them. We knew that when
Charlene viewed her chart she would gain insight not only to the purpose of her life but also to this tragic incident she so desperately wanted
to understand. We asked Geoffrey to accompany Charlene to the Hall of Wisdom where her chart was revealed to her. Once there, Geoffrey
held the scroll for her and she read, "I wanted to experience loss in this lifetime."
It became clear to her that she and her son both chose this experience for her perfection of experiencing loss. She realized that there was no way
she could have prevented the tragic death of her son and any guilt Charlene was carrying was misplaced. To complete the closure, we knew the
next step was for Charlene to meet with her son. We asked Geoffrey to take Charlene to the Garden, which is a wonderful gathering place for
the reunion of souls. As Charlene beheld the shear beauty of her surroundings, she saw her son. As he stood before her, she realized he was very
much alive, only residing in another dimension. Joey's words to his mother were simple, but profound. "Everything is okay and I'm happy."
We asked Joey if there was anything else he had to say to his mother. And with his wonderful broad smile that his mother has never forgotten
he said that he still played with Chance every day.
As Joey turned to leave, Charlene saw Chance running through a field of flowers toward him. It was comforting for Charlene to know that they
are together. Joey's words and his obviously healthy appearance were the closure Charlene was seeking from her hypnosis session.
Since the hypnosis, Charlene is meeting with other parents that have experienced the loss of a child. She knows that through helping others
understand the reason for their loss, they too, will begin to heal.
